Yes quiet place up north. Looks like it's getting taken over in the usual way though. This is where the protests are correct they are driving out the locals and turning older cheap hotels into luxury. The locals then cannot afford the rise in house prices and rent.
Shame that. I stayed up in the North one time, about 12-14 year ago. It was lovely and quiet, no issues then but I guess it’s always been slowly building to the point at where it’s at now.
Before we got here did a quick Google on where we are first week, great little tap room 10 minutes away, the stout looked amazing, the pizza's are supposed to be top notch, been chomping at the bit to try it out, called in an hour ago, they called in the recievers in on Monday
I'm just going to have to visit the Whiskey bar twice now. They only have 1186 to choose from, I could be a while
Taking a chance going there now, mate. People are either getting robbed by the criminals or knocked out by the thug doormen that they have on all the bars. I’d strongly advise you to stay away from the Red Lion, the stories coming out of that place are horrendous. Are your Not606 buddies all invited?
Spent a fair bit of time around there and all the way up the coast towards Bundoran, especially around Lahinch. West coast of Ireland is beautiful and it's like stepping back in time 50 odd years in places. Really hospitable bunch the Irish.
Things have changed a bit since the last time I was here,, big improvement in the roads for one. Hospitality is still great though and very friendly folk on the whole.
