Don't know what is was with Black Sabbath but I never really liked them, but could understand why people did. It's weird in a way because I should like them, due to the time and the instrumental, something about it just didn't work for me, but made them very rich. Thinking about it now, it's like the vocals and instrumentals don't mix, but actually do lol. It wasn't as if I hadn't come in much contact with their music, because back in the 70's my mate was nuts about them, never saw it myself. Although Ozzie and his Mrs were always ok by me. So RIP big man.
Likewise, I appreciate Sabbath's influence, but they're generally too slow and bluesy for me, I like metal fast and loud. Dio was an amazing singer, but he never suited Sabbath, this song is freakin incredible though:
