I used to walk through that cemetery all the time and most of those interred there were from seafaring families. The irony was that many of the men were not actually there (lost at sea); it was just their widows and children. If Lazarus was going to rise from the grave he was probably going to need at least scuba gear. Sadly a lot of the brick and stone mausolea fell into disrepair, continually vandalised by those that were not there to pay any respects to the living or the dead.
Here is an easy one for the Lefties to explain about the apparent hypocrisy of Lefties: As they stand for the ordinary ‘working classes’ why do so many of the leaders on the Left get rich while the ‘working classes’ never see much improvement? Labour lost UK General Elections for 9 years and suffered their worst election result in nearly a century in 2019. The leader Jeremy Corbyn was chiefly bankrolled by his mate Len McCluskey at the Unite union. Len McCluskey’s rank incompetence is finally being exposed McCluskey’s union has found that his mates at Flanagan Group gave him tickets to two Liverpool European Cup Finals while running up an £89m overspend on the union’s new Birmingham complex (including £30m alleged overcharging), which is worth £72m less than it cost. There was no tendering process for the contract with his “good friends”.
Another one for the Lefties: Last week on the BBC’s “Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg” there was a discussion about the ‘water industry’. The panel consisted of the Environment Secretary Steve Reed, Conservative chairman Kevin Hollinrake, the Lib Dem leader Ed Davey and the Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. There was a huge row on social media about everyone on the panel being a man. Nobody was moaning about the fact that a white woman was in charge; just that everyone on the panel was an old white man. Should the BBC have had the Liebour Water Minister on instead of the Environment Secretary? In case you do not know, the Water Minister is Hull West and Haltemprice MP Emma Hardy, a white woman whose expertise on ‘water’ extends as far as turning a tap and seeing it come out or telling everyone to take shorter showers to save water; so probably as expert as her male boss. The Lib Dems had a woman leader but she lost her seat at the 2019 election. All of Reform UK’s MPs are white men. Would women be any better as Environment Secretary or opposition shadow given that neither of those roles have ever required any knowledge of the water industry?
Can I answer for the lefties? I joined Unite years ago, they're my union but I've never like McCluskey, always thought he was dodgy like too many union leaders. They're basically no different than politicians, some are honest and doing their best, others are corrupted by power. Its a personal choice, join a union or don't, but in my experience its always better to have a union on your side, however crooked the leader is. He's not the one who will be representing you at a tribunal.
This pollster seems to usually give Reform a bigger lead than the other polls, but the others have tended to catch up later. Labour should be worried, as Jezbollah will be taking a good chunk of what's left of their voters.
Plod brought massive numbers, and installed fences to make pens for specific protestors. The women had other ideas, and ****ed up their intel.
That's only the ones they know about. There are plenty of reports of abandoned dinghy's appearing around that part of the coast.
