True Geordie is a 92er? So not so true.

Cracking post. You could probably include this odd and weird pandering to them all by Sam Fender, who has alienated the whole of Wearside.Apparently "fans" of his from down south were "Wtf" when they played the champions league music, dragged Dan Burn out with the cup and chanted football chants.... at a music concert. All the "famous number 9" s**t aswell. The fact they call it "The Toon", which is slang for town when they're a city. The signatures on the petition when takeover fell through.

He’s obviously a brilliant player but he just never looks committed and proud to be at Newcastle …

… but I doubt that’s important to him.

Wasn't Isak lip read saying something to Van Dijk that made it pretty clear he wanted and was already lining up a move to Liverpool last season?

Also, all the Mags are bemoaning PSR as being what's restricting them in being more competitive (against the 'cartel' ffs) but there's clearly something amiss with cashflows too - or the Saudi's willingness to pump in funds. The fact they're still in the same, not really 'fit for purpose' training facility and there's no tangible plans on the stadium development suggests that PIF may not be invested into the project to quite the extent the Mags would hope.

Unless I'm missing something? Could obviously all change relatively quickly with a click of MBS's fingers if they feel they need a bit of positive PR.

    I don’t think you're far off tbh.

A new season is about to start and SJP just keeps decaying, some of the stadium is downright scruffy. There’s been very little mention of a new ground and, in all honesty, I believe what’s happening at Sunderland has knocked them back a bit.

The SOL looks as if it’s being prepped for more gigs and internationals which will bring in more visitors and money. Sheepfolds will continue to be developed and attract even more facilities.

I just hope the club are putting pressure on the transport links …

… the St Peter’s Metro and surrounding areas are very poor.

‘Isak’s absence only intensified questions about his future, but Newcastle’s boss insisted the star will “absolutely” be on the plane this Thursday to Singapore for their Asia tour as he revealed he took the decision to spare Isak from the spotlight in Scotland.

Howe, who claimed the club have received no formal approach from Liverpool or Al-Hilal, said: “Alex was with us all the way through Austria, but today with all the speculation and things that are going on, I decided to send him home.

“The last thing Alex wants if he's not playing is to be sat in the stand being under that scrutiny. I don't think that's fair to the player.’

Sat at work yesterday and the closet mag on a meeting said “ah it was just a reserve game against Celtic. Didn’t play any of the first team really and changed it all at half time. I then sent him this:

    First half
Nick Pope , Kieran Trippier , Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Matt Targett, Bruno Guimarães (c), Lewis Miley, Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, William Osula.

    second half
Martin Dúbravka, Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Dan Burn, Alex Murphy, Sandro Tonali, Joe White, Lewis Miley (Travis Hernes 76), Anthony Elanga, Anthony Gordon, William Osula (Sean Neave 76).

he chuntered on about it as he was talking to a non footy person before I got involved thinking nobody else was interested!!!

I see why they have a complex about winning things when their apparent reserves cost over £200m!! also said I was amazed they’d signed the quality to make sure Guimaraes was now a second choice at best!!

Anyone had much dealings with the Saudis?
What's their reaction likely to be to a backlash from Newcastle fans? Are they likely to say '**** 'em' and become spiteful and/or distant or will it give them a kick up the arse and they'll suddenly have a renewed interest and get their **** together?

I rarely take any interest in the mags these days, ever since they sold their soul to the murdering Saudi royal family...however...hearing the fans say things like this over the last couple of weeks could make this the funniest thing to ever happen to our neighbours.

"He loves it here and doesn't want to leave"
"Why would he join another club when we're as big as anyone else"
    "Nobody could afford him"
"Why would our owners sell him to a Saudi club they also own"

If he goes to a Saudi club what does that say about the owners grand plans for the mags? It shows where their true priority lies.

All this regional development money set aside for the Geordie Nayshun would need to be redirected to rebuild the smashed up Bigg Market if he leaves.

I've not, personally, but I knew a couple of blokes who'd worked out there (friends of my dad) and they said that they're hard to judge. Literally they (very rich Saudis) will think nothing of buying a brand new Rolls Royce and sending it back to be replaced if it gets a flat tyre, it's just an item. They'll buy something as a statement because it's status symbol, but not necessarily value it. They expect a degree of respect and deference towards them, but can be very, very arsey if they perceive a slight or disrespect. It really depends on what their end game is. It could kick them up the arse to invest in the mags, it could see them flog them as a waste of time and effort, or they could just keep them and forget about them. And PIF is rich enough that it doesn't matter, it's not like Ashley where they can be forced to sell as a financial drag. PIF has enough wealth that they can be treat as little more than a millionaire losing 50p down the back of the sofa.
