Alan Shearer's telling comment as Alexander Isak informs Newcastle he wants to explore move - Mirror Online https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...der-isak-newcastle-liverpool-shearer-35611768
Yeh that was my wider point that there's plenty of time. I was responding to somebody asking to compare our window to Leeds. Its really hard to when there's so much to do
With what strikers though? I get not being comfortable with Seelt and Ballard starting week in week out but both are talented enough to put in a strong performance against West ham
How do we know Ballard and Seelt aren't good enough? If you cant trust them against West Ham at home, then we are ****ed for the season.
If they had Bowen and Elliot in their line up it would be a challenge for any centre halves to be honest. I really do like both of them.
If they're not good enough to play West Ham, who'll supposedly beat us in our first home game ... ... we may as well not bother turning up at all this season.
Think that would be more a challenge for our CMs and fullbacks tbh Both quality footballers, Bowen's one of my faves but both better drifting in off the wing imo
**** me, how do you get out of bed and go to matches?? At least Moyes waited 2 games in before he said we were ****!
You sure? All last season we weren't good enough to go up, we weren't good enough to beat Coventry in the semi final and you thought that Sheffield would beat us in the playoff final. If that's how you love the lads, if hate to see when you don't!
This is West Ham who recently couldn't score against Wolves and lost to them ... ...seriously, if Seelt and Ballard aren't going to compete with teams like that we're f*cked before we start.
Aye, no doubt. But at some point the CB either needs to engage, or delay. Once they come more central, which both do in particular Elliot, they become a CB problem. Then again I am not one for arguing against Ballard and Seelt has impressed so far. No dramas from me if they are starting pair, although I suspect we will see one in at least. If we are being ruthless when it comes to last seasons midfield and wide players I see every reason they will be at CB too.
Newcastle are gradually haggling themselves upwards with the cost of their signings ... ... the more they pay the more clubs will ask.
