Evan Ferguson, who it feels like we are always linked to, has joined Roma on loan with an optional future fee
I don’t think we are ever seriously linked to him. It’s overly optimistic fans who were hoping we’d go for him. This loan shows how daft that was
Wonder if there is something in the crazy talk of PSG making a record bid for Palmer. Given all the attacking signings
Will Still on whether Saints can keep Mateus Fernandes: "I hope so, I hope so. I know he's a good player." "I know there's interest. I know there's a lot of noise around him. That's normal when you've got quality players like him, but I think the club has been clear. "If he leaves, he'll leave at the right price and we'll be able to replace him. I'm not too worried about that. I don't want to get involved in all the rumours and stuff. "We know that as long as he's here, we can use him and he'll be good. And if he goes, then I'm sure everyone will come out bigger and better from it. "He's quality. He's got that little extra about him. He's got that creative spark. He's interesting in the lower positions. "He's got the game in front of him, but it depends on the game, it depends on the scenario, and it depends on where he is physically as well. "We've just done his first minutes, and we just wanted to introduce it. He's got that versatility that we can use and be creative with, so I'm sure we will be."
Yes. Glad WS has said this. Fernandes could operate next to Downes/Charles, as a deep-lying playmaker. That would give him more time for his passing. I see him as a player who should be assisting the assister, rather than assisting the scorer, if that makes any sense.
Oh dear. This is who AFC Totton replaced Austin with. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas signed by AFC Totton after drugs prison term - BBC News
Only 60kg of the stuff! A few hundred grams is one thing but that's an absolute ****load. And he only served 10 months of a 4 year sentence so I dispute the claim that he's served his time TBH.
I wonder who will go in for him? Liverpool and Arsenal were keen but Liverpool have just signed Ekitike and Arsenal on the verge of signing Gyokeres. Personally if I were Arsenal I'd go all out for him. If Liverpool signed him the PL may as well hand them the trophy back now.
I would have jailed him for being the laziest excuse for a footballer I`ve ever seen pull on an Aberdeen shirt. He used to wander around like he`d just puffed 60kg of weed!
And probably Nunez. But would arguably make them shorter in the wide attacking positions especially with the tragic events from earlier in the summer But it will be Liverpool. Or maybe Chelsea out of nowhere as they can’t seem to help themselves I expect it’s too late for arsenal to pull out of the Gyokeres deal It seems quite late for Isak to do this. I guess he assumed Newcastle would entertain offers
Paul Joyce at The Times saying they've not ruled out going back in for Isak, but it is likely to be contingent on shifting Nunez and Diaz
