It also says Xhaka has told them he is happy to stay at Bayer if the deal falls through, they don't have to sell for less than their value if that's the case
This could turn out to be a very good thing for us in the long run. Agents (and clubs) now know we won't be taken for a ride and will simply pull the plug if someone tries to take the piss. Could really strengthen our hand in future negotiations.
I find it oddly reassuring that we are clearly not overpaying for players even if we clearly really want them. I did have a slight reservation about that. I still think we'll get him personally, will just be in a couple of weeks
Exactly reported by Leverkusswn fans picked up by Bild. Why would we tell either of those our transfer plans

Not sure if anyone has mentioned/considered this (or if there is even anything to mention/consider) but unlike the majority of clubs our accounts financial year runs to 31st July 2025 rather than 30th June 2025. If we are playing a bit of a PSR balancing act it may determine in which period we are looking to do our business - could mean we see a flurry of player departures and sales, which had otherwise been deferred, announced after this time next week. The PSR implications won't have the same impact on player purchases but if that flurry of sales does manifest itself then maybe it will provide a cashflow injection and clarity on position that enables us to push on with further recruitment.
€10m a year = €192k a week (£165k) This must mean with signing on fees and bonuses etc because it's seems way out of our budget.
