As in send him out on loan to a league 1 side for a season! There’s a player in there but just needs to play games ?

 

He played 527 minutes in the league. Less than 6 full games. If you’re coming on for 10/15 every game you’re hardly going to build form / momentum are you?

Season before when playing regularly, 33 apps, 13 starts 9 goals 4 assists.

His total minutes played are just over the equivalent of 21 full games.

Not much has worked out from that league but it doesn’t mean that can’t change… We also aren’t in a position to be picky

 

On loan… so if he does well they benefit entirely.

 

Maybe if Burstow got more consistent minutes he’d have done better also.

I reckon our manager has seen him play, he may have influenced the decision to try and sign him.

 

If we still manage Frigan I don’t mind Destan.

Lundstram/Frigan/Destan/Shelvey wouldn’t be bad at all in our current situation.

 

I think the main thing I grasped from watching the limited clips of his goals is that he’s actually quite a big lad so he may adapt better to the physical side. Hopefully you’re right on this though, he’s the one main positive for me ATM the gaffer

 

If I did the math right Destan has a goal involvement every 124.6 minutes he plays. Getting him on the pitch seems to be the issue. Had a goal involvement every 206.5 minutes last season, but only managed 826 minutes all season. 1 in 3 goal involvement during his time at Trabzonspor. Looks really good in the air and is versatile.

Could be another dud but could have an impact if he can stay fit!

Lundstram’s apparently on €2 million-a-year at Trabzonspor which is just over £33K-a-week.

 

I don’t mind proven performers getting good money. Omur getting it was bonkers as he was still a potential player.

This does probably throw a spanner in the works with the EFL though if we are offering similar

 

Omur was definitely a proven performer, just because it hasn’t worked out here doesn’t change that. Wondered what’s gone on there with him I have a suspicion something Sinikal has happened.

 

He has two years left on his deal at Trabzonspor though. You have to wonder under what circumstances Trabzonspor would choose to pay a severance package worth millions to terminate his contract and let him walk for nothing instead of selling him for a nominal transfer fee or Lundstram agreeing to waive a severance package for his remaining contract to come to City. It stinks.

 

Basically on this forum most players we are signing are total failures. , must be heartening as a player to get the support before you’ve even stepped on the grass .
We have no clue as to how they might turn out .
