Yes. Glad WS has said this. Fernandes could operate next to Downes/Charles, as a deep-lying playmaker. That would give him more time for his passing. I see him as a player who should be assisting the assister, rather than assisting the scorer, if that makes any sense.

I wonder who will go in for him? Liverpool and Arsenal were keen but Liverpool have just signed Ekitike and Arsenal on the verge of signing Gyokeres. Personally if I were Arsenal I'd go all out for him. If Liverpool signed him the PL may as well hand them the trophy back now.
