On the one hand, I assume England will be very pleased to see Rehan scoring a 100 yesterday and now taking six wickets today, with the kookaburra ball. But on the other hand, the opposition is Derby. Not exactly Australia.
Exactly what I was saying. 35 wickets in a day and a half is not a first class cricket pitch. Plus I’m £48 out of pocket with no chance of a refund, the ****s.
Yeah, that's ****ty for you. I do wonder if part of the reason is a "**** you" to the ECB for forcing counties to use the kookaburra ball. But even so, that's a really bad pitch for county cricket.
The regulations say that for CC games the only refunds are when less than 19.5 overs are possible due to weather, and no result is possible..
Mention that the pitch was graded "below average" by the match referee, you shouldn't lose money because a sub standard pitch was prepared.
Apparently we’ll all get the refund automatically, once they have processed them! Fair play, I didn’t think it would be that easy. The woman I spoke to said she had never known a match finish on Day 2 before. The club will lose a lot of money over this, with all the catering and drinks money they won’t get. A seriously stupid thing to do, and there’s still a possibility of the ECB taking action too. Somerset have history of this sort of thing!
Just seen replays of the Gubbins and Brown lbws. I have to say that both look to be very poor decisions, not sure either was hitting the stumps? But that's what happens when you're down, luck doesn't tend to go your way
Given England have virtually no tail, I think India are deep in the **** already even with England still 250 behind.
I had thought 358 was a very good score by India - and that we'd be very unlucky with some of our bowling - but these two are suggesting otherwise.
