Scarborough won 3-0 today Been a poor season and been hovering above the relegation zone Should ease the doubts
Think I missed all this at the time , wasn’t on the board at the time . Just read this post and choked me up a bit , reminded me of my mum in Dove House , apologising she wouldn’t be around for my kids, amazing how people can think of others in this position . Very late, but RIP Filey .
I was lucky enough to meet him on the Not 606 train trip to Scarborough. He was a very brave, humble and quite remarkable fella. He told a good story about his days as a City fan. It was a lovely day out, and we were talking of trying to make it an annual event. Sadly he didn’t live long enough. Sadly, I can’t see a similar event being a success nowadays. People would spend all day arguing about which frigging platform the train was leaving Hull from.
The last time it was was going to happen the trains went on strike and you could get a bus there but there wasn't a bus back after the game. Can't remember if that was before or after he passed. EDIT. It was back in Nov 2018, how time flies.
We could do it at Brid Town's Queensgate ground for a Scarborough game, as the Seadogs are playing their home games there this season. Decent bar & grub.
