I know they are only pre season friendlies, but they struggled against Stevenage, and lost last night to Cheltenham. Not exactly what was expected of a team with growing aspirations. Too many new faces finding it difficult to gel/fit in, perhaps ? Or has Sheehan's bubble already burst ? Only time will tell, but the new season is upon us - soon. Middlesbrough awaits, and they are probably licking their lips.
Swans ended the game wit6h 8 under 23 players...yes we lost but the game would have been about getting match fitness nothing more.....Ihope!
Pre-season friendly matches are designed to get the guys match fit, get used to playing patterns and routines and helping new players gel. Arguably, the final pre-season friendly is the most important but yet that means nothing in reality ….. Still, it would be nice to win …..
Always used to go to the pre season friendlies at home and away if possible but then the realisation hit that the games were more like training exercises than proper cut and thrust of the league ....Going to the L Orient friendly just to get the feel of the long season ahead especially with the first short haul trip to Middlesborough....
" I hope ". Nothing quite like new season optimism. Every supporter, of every Club, has it in abundance at this time of year. Then, for most, the sad reality hits home, when it's more of the same. Who'd be a football fan, eh ?
