Don't think so, think there was a rumour he was wanting a move to 1 of the Milan teams but don't think they are interested

We seemed to have a similar dance with sassuolo for the winger that never was

We got we wanted in the end

Everyone does it. Look at Newcastle only offering £25m for Wissa.

Most teams do tend to low ball on the first offer.

Clubs like Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, etc, seem to have a culture and identity ...

... West Ham look totally bereft of any spirit and purpose.

They've simply bought bunches of players who don't seem to know who they play for.

It's almost as if any players who can't get a game at the top London clubs, like Arsenal and Chelsea, go to be in London ...

... all they seem to want are the big crowds, Premier League and the money that goes with it.

Potter couldn't care less about West Ham, a club that always had a real purpose ... like their ground, pissed away for money.

    Id go

    Diakite
    Singo
    Bade
Lucumi (he is left footed tho so I could see him being an ideal partner for all 3)

No good news for anyone but Huddersfield tbh.

Although it's clear Sunderland are continuing to put pressure on clubs who clearly want to sell but are pretending they don't.

I've never seen our club being so relentless in our philosophy ...

... absolutely fascinating to watch and we still have two big loans to come in, imo.

Lucumi sounds great but I’m concerned about his aerial duel win rate. Our team is quite small so would prefer two bigger centre halves. That said, if we signed him I think he would instantly become our best centre half, and he would make a cracking partner to complement Ballard’s skillset.

Something about the prospect of Diakite and Bade makes me really excited. I’ve went off the idea of Singo because the deal has taken too long, although I would be buzzing if we signed him.

IMO the key is to get one of them through the door imminently so they can have a few friendly matches and partner Ballard for West Ham. A second defender can arrive later and be given time to adjust.

3 of the 4, is that just getting greedy? Would be amazing though.

Singo has never been even closely reliably linked has he? Nowhere near to the lengths of Diakite and Lucumi. I don’t think Singo was ever truly on the table

If you read our thread you’d see how Lucumi compares to O’Nien and how if you partner him with a stronger aerial CB he’d be fine ;)

Lucumi and or diakite gives us more depth cover full back options if needs be as well

I think we end up with two top CBs signed, I really think bade would be my preffered option as right sided CB and Lucumi gives balance
