Yeah that’s exactly how it’s always been for me, mate. Is it like that generally where you live or are you old school and it’s changed over the years to what they call it now?
I cut a wholemeal bap in half and toasted it, I was late getting up, so had breakfast at midday, simply because I don't fancy anything more substantial at the mo, and that fits with me trying to lose weight again! So will have my main meal at teatime, which will only be salad and cold meat. I've got an assessment at the hospital tomorrow and I don't want that nurse stare when she realises my weight has gone up lol. Think I should be ok and get away with it. Will have to ignore the rum and raisin chocolate bar I've got in the fridge, you know the one, Old Jamaica that they renamed Cadbury Bourneville.
My best mate is brown skinned and he came to sit with me last night after the nurses had came out to change my bandages. The news was reporting about the protests in Epping and he said ‘you can’t blame them can you, but if I went down there they’d probably think I was a foreigner and they’d turn on me’ - It took me by surprise and when I pushed him on it, he reckons even just walking around the village he’s being looked at differently and he can feel a bad vibe now. I’ve never noticed it which I told him but ultimately that’s how he’s feeling. He’s from London originally and he said ‘I’m telling you bro 90% of these cnuts on the boats are here for money and crime only’, and that it’s making things difficult for people like him who look foreign. He said he thinks Farage is a right dodgy cnut but he fully understands people turning to reform now. Just thought I’d share that because it’s been in my head all morning and I didn’t see it coming from him. He’s that worried he said if it kicks off, he hopes that I’d look after him and his Mum. I told him I’d move them straight in and they’d be fine here. I never stopped to think about how he was feeling or being effected by all of this and what we are seeing on the news. He got a bit dramatic talking like there was going to be a civil war, but he’s obviously massively concerned to be talking like that.
I think for me, I understand lots of folk from all race / religions and some even refugees themselves, hate what the boat people are doing. With the latter mainly because they felt they had to earn the right to be here, and these people are just swanning in having parted with money to criminals. It's not right and people have died as a result of it.
If you wanted to take a bird out to a restaurant on a date would you ask her if she wanted to go out to tea?
teas a drink saffy. tea time is a great time for a break for some tea and biccies. agree dinner at school is dumb, it's lunchtime.
Been a while since we did this hasn't it? Reckon this at least the 14th time What was @Saf saying about this place turning us all into lunatics again?
Agreed. We need to be so tough on people coming by illegal means. Deport immediately or put them in brb detention centres until we can deport them with the bare minimum to look after them until we can do so. 3 basic meals a day and absolutely no money or benefits for them as well as being unable to go anywhere. Come through proper channels where we can vet them properly which will allow us to make informed decisions about whether we can allow them entry to the country.
I'd probably say, do you want to go out for dinner tonight, but consciously know that I mean tea time but just don't ephasise that, because it would be a late tea time merging in probably with supper time. So it's easier just to say, fancy going to a restaurant later....
I think all governements have let us down on this, and all politicians throughout the whole house, because we've accepted illegal entry into this country, and I as a citizen would not be allowed to do that and go and live in Spain, Italy, Germany or any other country just because it's where I want to be. I don't care if your family is here, because as soon as we allow that, we allow all future families the same right to entry. Stop bucking the system. We need migrant workers, nowt wrong with that, some people also need genuine safety, that safety should not come on the back of paying a criminal large sums of money.
Right enough. Depends on the circumstances as well. If it was a date, I’d probably just say would you like to go out for some food/A meal. If it was informal with a mate or a girlfriend then it would be ‘should we go out for tea’
