There is currently an application before Hull City Council to turn the former 4 star Portland Hotel on Paragon Street into an HMO. After it stopped being a hotel (went bust) it was used as student accommodation for a short time then as a hostel and now stands empty. Less than a quarter of a mile away, the Royal Hotel next to the railway station is housing Deliveroo/Just Eats workers awaiting their asylum claims.

 

Ozzy Osborne made a lot of money playing in Israel when others refused to.
