Funnily enough I was thinking about Conor Washington the other day and what a huge disappointment he turned out to be. For me the jury is still out on Celar, I don't think we've seen enough of him to make a call. Hopefully he will be that 25 goal man.
I wonder if there would be any specific sell-on fees in his contract and any sale onwards, specifically because we've had him since he was a young player. Well, we can't read into someone's social media too much. And he does strike me as a business first kind of person, rather than the pointless loyalty claims that players make, kissing the badge, etc. then leaving after a season. However, he was playing in L1 last season and now can play in the Champ with a great manager and an upward looking club. I'm not sure why he wouldn't be interested in that, unless there's bad blood between him and the club. Yes! Over the last few seasons, we've been so bad at crossing the ball or providing service, I noticed that our players stopped bothering to actually try to get into the box because they never expected anything good. And then, when we did put the occasionally beautiful cross into the box, not a QPR soul to be seen. That has to change. Another thing I've noticed about how our squad has played over the last 3 or so seasons is a kind of fear of losing possession so much that we only make 'safe' passes around the back or down the wings (where the wingers are already well marked) rather than being brave enough to lose possession with an incisive pass through to someone's feet, further up. I'd like to see us take more chances with passes from the defenders and midfield to attackers' feet or through. I'd rather lose possession more (in opposition half) having a right go of it than watch us dick about at the back.
Was just sent this link from a mate here... https://www.footmercato.net/a513455...pape-meissa-ba-en-discussion-avancee-avec-qpr Hardly a prolific goal scorer, but beggars can't be choosers. He could play well alongside one of our other strikers, but at 6"2 he isn't big enough to play up front alone.
