Richarlison has said that he has no intention of going anywhere.

I'm going to predict right now that he won't reach 25 PL goals (total) by the time his contract expires in two years.

He's currently on 16 goals in three years.

    Three years.

    Three.

You don't think Kudas will improve the first team?

I'm not overly enamoured by his signing, but Frank has an excellent track record in developing wide forwards, so I am quite hopeful.

I just don't think RW is a priority position atm with Johnson, Kulu and Odobert all comfortable there.

DM, FB and LW are more urgent imo.

Kudus played well on both flanks yesterday - and if Sonny is departing, then he would offer more experience in that role.
I was 'meh' about his signing, but I'm starting to buy into it. He has serious skills - just hope he has the attitude to go with it. :emoticon-0138-think

What impressed me most, all be it against quite limited opposition, was his decision making, including the good pass to Vuskovic for the 2nd goal when he could have looked for a shot, and the ball rolled in to Donley which wasn't neccesarily the obvious pass but was the right option.

    Agreed.
Although I imagine that Bissouma wasn't too happy when Kudus didn't set him up with an open goal after that tricky run. Mind you, he might have just known that Biss would miss it anyway!<laugh>

His missus is heavily pregnant and it's high risk, apparently.
I think he's just being allowed to remain behind for that reason.

Does anyone think that we might actually NOT sign another fullback this summer and instead use Porro, Udogie, Spence, Davies and Gray as our options there ?

Frank likes one of his fullbacks to sit in alongside the two CB’s during build up of play ( Porro did this against Reading 1st half whilst Udogie pushed on down the left side, 2nd half Davies stayed back in the three whilst Spence pushed on )

Maybe Frank sees Gray and Davies as fullback and outside CB options this season ?

If we are looking at asymmetrical FBs this does explain the links to Koni De Winter, as he can play both CB and RB (and also ticks the boxes of Paratici knowing him, given he was in Juve's academy)

The Athletic say we're interested in signing Joao Palhinha, but we'd prefer a loan while Bayern are trying to sell him

I can't see it being a loan without some sort of obligation, but I totally understand asking for it.
Palhinha giving Gray some lessons in the dark arts could make it worthwhile on it's own.
If he could learn how to play the position and use his physicality, then his potential's enormous.
He's already far better on the ball than most effective holding midfielders.
