Lol hardly. If by we you mean the West, we've supplied billions of $$$$ of weapons to Israel. I think the US alone supplies something like 70% of Israel's weapons.
We had people literally dancing on the streets for October 7th and countless more trying to justify it. Various countries turned away Holocaust survivors and tried to make them live back amongst those who had worked to kill them. History going back thousands of years has treated Jews differently. That’s not an opinion.
Again, don't be silly sonny. Internal strife is a war within recognised territorial boundaries between indigenous factions - a civil war. Invading another sovereign country or territory is not an internal strife - it's an external one. That a few idiots get triggered by the terminology and start spouting accusations because the difference is highlighted says everything about their bias - and conveniently deflects and passes over the reality of what is happening. Got nothing against Jews or Muslims - but wholly abhor the actions of individuals and regimes that show scant regard for the sanctity of human life - all human life - not limited to 'those like us'...
So you define morality based on what passports the belligerents are holding and whether or not they crossed a border?
Jews have been persecuted - that's a fact and is deplorable and there can never be any justification - but that's no excuse for what Israel is currently doing in Gaza... in fact you would have hoped that history would make Israel less likely to be flirting with direct actions that are bringing accusations of war crimes - such as weaponising food and aid distribution.
The complete opposite - I judge morality on the actions of individuals and regimes ... and Netanyahu and his cronies are not looking particularly good in that regard, wouldn't you agree?
For the thousandth time, the smug opinion of no one who will ever be in such a situation. You’d value the life of someone you know over someone who’d be indifferent at best and likely celebrating your murder. We all would. If presented with the dilemma of saving one family member or 10,000 randoms from Haiti we’d all make the same decision.
It’s not being weaponised and despite all the wailing and promises, duly amplified by everyone, that eleventy billion baby doctor journalists will die by lunchtime, the death toll overall and from starvation remain low and negligible. No, I don’t expect Israel to roll over because of the Holocaust affecting some of its ancestors just as it hasn’t rolled over in the numerous other wars waged upon it since.
If I were Haitian I’m 100% saving my Haitian family member over 10000 Haitian strangers. It’s not even a tough choice. Anyway I am Haitian.
It absolutely is being weaponised though. We will control how much food gets in, and we will control how it's distributed, and we will militarise the distribution and kill anybody who we deem fit. That is the very definition of weaponising what should be humanitarian aid.
It’s unquestionable though that Hamas were skimming the aid and prolonging war in the process. It has to be managed correctly. When people were in organised queues we had predictable outcry that it was somehow akin to Auschwitz.
Yeah no doubt some of it was going straight to Hamas, but it's hardly being managed correctly now, with people having to walk miles through a war zone to dangerous distribution points where daily around 50 people are shot dead by the IDF. I'd say that's a lot worse for the population than Hamas skimming off a % of it. What has also been complicated by that, is Netanyahu funding and arming groups opposed to Hamas in Gaza, some of whom are linked to Islamic State, and who are now skimming it off for themselves. Basically creating a sub division of little mafia groups who want to grab what they can for themselves. And I would add to that, if Israel allowed the UN and the aid agencies to distribute the tons of aid they have sitting over the borders, you wouldn't have the desperate clamour for food in the first place.
"It's not being weaponised..." ... guess these kids were just too fussy and would only eat 'Happy Meals' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cvg9ky87dpdt How are children dying of malnutrition if the distribution of food has not become a controlling tactic?
Not denying that likely happened to some extent ... but the IDF could have overseen the UN / Aid agencies distribution just as easily as they have the GHF distribution... ... and the target practice that has reportedly occurred on the queues at GHF centres is simple barbarism ..
