You are posting some sensible stuff today and no mistake ... yet another other 'I agree'... It's also apparent to anyone with half a brain that Netanyahu is blowing hot air out his smoke hole claiming that the total annihilation of Hamas is the only way to retrieve the remaining hostages... you can kill the human embodiment of Hamas for sure - but, as you have mentioned, there will be a 'resistance movement' that replaces it ... and one that may have way more recruits than Hamas could ever have mustered and founded more on personal revenge than religious ideology... Meanwhile the families of the remaining hostages must be distraught with this latest initiative... the only way they were all potentially coming back was through a ceasefire and negotiated release ...
All political parties have done it mate, not just Labour, the UK has been supplying it's weapons to others my entire life. Replica kit again? ... He'd also be fine for food ... because the Moon is made of cheese ... someone on Twitter will no doubt confirm that this is indeed ... fact
Britain/USA are not at war with Japan despite the hideous atrocities that they carried out on Prisoners of War and the total destruction of Japanese cities from mass bombing and two atomic bombs, we were almost constantly at war with France for a thousand years until we fought a common enemy, we dont like each other but that ok Germany and Russia fought a war so evil that even Gazza doesn't completely overshadow it But when people are intelligent enough to realise that the only way to live in peace is to erase the past there can be a future
No, what the Russians and Germans did to each four four years defies description, the Russian losses were about 20m and German about 2m
Totally agree. Intergenerational resistance is only possible if underlying shared values and narrative supports it. You could even use the Palestinians of the West Bank as an example. How many thousands of them were displaced from their homes by Israel? How many lost their entire families? How many summarily arrested and held indefinitely without charge? How many watched their homes being bulldozed? And yet despite this, because the underlying narrative has shifted to less tolerance of Islamic extremism and a general acceptance of the fact that Israel is going nowhere no matter how many martyrs blow themselves up on buses, this assumed endless resistance simply hasn't manifested. In fact, the bigger problem in the West Bank in terms of extremism is by quite some distance the far-right Israeli settlers, whom I detest.
