Alisson Bradley konate vvd kerkez Gravenberch macallister Salah wirtz gakpo Ekitike Marmadashvilli Frimpong gomez ? Robertson Endo jones (so weak) Cheisa szoboszlai diaz Nunez If we kept players (which we wont) and got a cb then thats a bit of a seconds tring line up isn't it. Anyway 1 alisson 2 Marmadashvilli 3 robertson 4 kerkez 5 vvd 6 konate 7 gravenberch 8 macallister 9 endo 10 wirtz 11 szoboszlai 12 salah 13 chiesa 14 Ekitike 15 nunez 16 gakpo 17. diaz. So we still have this issue. Hg 1 Woodburn 2 frimpong 3 gomez 4 jones 5 elliott 6 bradley 7 8 We could be forced to name kids at the club longer than 2 years to fill these spots. Please note Ngumoha cannot be in the cl squad as he is 1 year at the club so must be foreign number. Oops. Theres a spot for danns but we will loan. There will be more slots opening in the foreign list imo. Stephenson and Beck will be sold
Does depend if they are 'triggered' or not....many transfer fees these days will not be fully known until end of contract I guess. Frankfurt were looking for 100m euros, about £86.5m. Yesterday £82m was quoted. Today its £79m. In a similar way to Newcastle spending £55m(?) on Isak and improving him massively,we will be looking to do the same. Big man...6' 4'' .......can't wait for the start of the season
Can't remember who it was but someone was arguing it was a good deal because it only had "optional add ons" and stuck by that argument after his errors were clearly pointed out to him Around the same time as "An shambles" (Might have been on here in the early days actually, not sure)
"Did you know that Liverpool were offered Alexander Isak, but Jurgen Klopp rejected the move and instead signed Darwin Núñez? Also, when Michael Edwards was previously at the club as sporting director, he wanted to bring in Bruno Fernandes and Bruno Guimarães, and let go of Milner and Henderson — but Klopp refused. Now that Edwards is back as CEO of Football at Liverpool, no one can interfere with his decisions. He wants to focus on signing young talents with high potential. One of those players is Hugo Ekitike — many people underestimate him now, but we are lucky to have him join our club. Soon, you'll understand why." We will wait and see how accurate this podcast is?
Pretty sure "An shambles" was on here - I remember it well, and I was only on the old 606 for about six months before it closed. Not sure about the add-ons discussion.
There a lot of that kind of revisionist waffle that goes about. Klopps record stands for itself. Edwards record working with him stands for itself, salah being the prime example. Making up **** about Edwards seeing every player ever before they were born is not only stupid it fails to see that Hughes is the lfc technical director. Edwards has a different job. But the likes of the xg brigade are out to make ekiteke out to be worse than nunez. Look with your own eyes. I think wirstz and ekiteke together will be very interesting. Also just a touch of patience is required, gakpo was lashing shkts wildly to try and impress but he has settled in. Give these lads the time.
"an shambles" was definitely from BBC 606. I've been trying to think who said it first. It was a typo that stuck and then everyone was using it. You used to be able to access the archived 606 forum but they shut it down. You can still access content if you have a specific quote like "an shambles". I just googled it and got the page of comments from when they closed it down and some people made their last comments with some saying things like 'BBC closing is an shambles'. You can't search on the page so that's the only bit of evidence remaining.
Can remember the phrase well but ****ed if i can remember who made it, pretty sure is was one of the current posters though.
It wasn't anyone who posts on here, as far as I can remember. If it was, we'd still all be using it. Were you on the BBC 606?
It was someone who was laid into. I cant recall who but it'd 15 years ago. Tobes used to be lettuce on there. There was loads of thst going on. It could have been matth.for example.
https://not606.com/threads/does-uir...ampions-league-an-shambles-last-night.317926/ @luvgonzo might remebr the origins given he used it back them
Can't even remember my own name from then but when we moved here i became Diego (my little dog). I miss Matth and tried to mentor him on our board back then as he was only very young.
