    Cheick Tiote has enlisted the help of his favourite witch doctor in a bizarre bid to regain full fitness for Newcastle.

    The Toon want him fit as soon as possible after a knee injury, so the Ivory Coast star was given permission by club owner Mike Ashley to fly back to his homeland to see the shaman*.

    The 25-year-old has fluid on his right knee which is causing pain and restricting his movement when twisting and turning.

    The injury is taking too long to heal, in Tiote’s opinion. So with Ashley’s blessing he flew back to Yamoussoukro, capital of the Ivory Coast, for his bizarre treatment.

    The shaman – wearing a leafy head-dress – performed a ritual involving mysterious chanting, singing and prayers so that Tiote’s injury curse would be broken.

    He was born and raised in Africa , his religion has nothing to do with these superstitious rituals.

    Indeed as major religions tend to take over countries previous customs will remain, hence many 'Christian' festivals taking place at the same time as their pagan counterparts. Its unusual, but not too extreme in a world of goats placentas...

    Sadly Pat Morita has been dead for a while. Jackie Chan is a poor facsimile, he could do more harm than good.

    In the article they also mentioned his transfer to Chelsea rumours as if it was a done deal and that the witch doctor was involved in helping him heal for it. EDIT: beaten to it!

    His laugh is the best. My favourite Bond film by far, and I love all them, apart from Moonraker which was a bit **** <ok>!

    It's definitely my favourite Bond movie too. Samedi, Tee-Hee and the Crocodile farm and exploding Kanaga are classic moments/characters.
