That’s the issue with transfer fee reporting though isn’t it. We’ve supposedly paid £2.5m for Joseph etc but then sometimes it’s £1.5m + add ons so everyone thinks we are only getting £1.5m. £2.5m might have been the total package (after add ons) but everyone reports that we’ve already paid £2.5m.

    £1.5m is scandalous though

That and the saving of the wages probably allows us to sign the free agents

The financials are a mess even if acun pretends otherwise

Is it a mate’s rate deal or haven’t we got a pot to piss in?

Imagine how easy it is to buy players from City. Other clubs must be laughing their bollocks off at our owner. Just reach out to our players’ agents with a tempting offer and Acun folds immediately.

Agreed but say the add ons mean it can reach £5m another source reports it as that. £1.5m upfront isn’t terrible in that sense but it’s again just the issues with reporting

Remember when Acun said he wouldn’t sell Lewis-Potter for less than £25 million and sold him for nearly £10 million less than that the same summer? <laugh>

I dont know if the 7k cap is true...

But if so, the EFL either have loads of evidence and we are fooked...or they are just being dick heads. The latter i doubt.

None of this points to anything remotely good.

not seen anything else about the 7k a week cap yet

but speaking of frigan, i cant see how the efl will authorise it, if they did block mcburnie deal over high wages

i wonder what wages we are allowed to operate with

Just guessing on Frigan but I’d guess we’re going to get a cheap loan where we’ll pay the maximum/all his wages depending on our restrictions/his pay.

He comes here and scores a **** tonne without an obligation it works for Westerlo to drive price up for us or whoever.

Or he goes back to them where he’s already proven and will presumably have time left on his deal?

How did Acun become such a "successful" businessman? <laugh>

Throwing money around like confetti then giving things away cheap

The £7k wage cap is a strategy to get McBurnie in on a lower wage. Once he’s signed that will get lifted.
