I reckon we can rake in around £8-10 million in transfer fees from selling Simons, Racioppi, Smith, Mehlem, McLoughlin, Jones and Alzate alone, which will help with PSR and cash flow.
I really hope we can find a resolution for Puerta. He will take the 8 role with ease in this system as he’s progressive and dynamic
Yorkshire Post seem to be suggesting we’re under the £7k a week wage cap on new signings like Wednesday.
I don’t understand how that is the case. From what I understand, that only applies to clubs under a transfer embargo and have fewer than 23 players.
I think is the main area where the EFL are being totally ****ish - the registration of him and Laalaoui
If so, wouldn't Ajayi be a problem too in terms of registration, like Puerta/Laalaoui? Given Ajayi will be on way more than 7k
By the way, I’m still not sure how we can sign Frigan because we cannot commit to future transfer fees under the fee restriction i.e. loan with an option or obligation to buy.
Ship has already sailed cash wise with Puerta/Laalaoui - so denying them seems unnecessarily punitive and damages our chances of recouping money
If we are stuck at paying £7k per week, then we aren't going to be signing players quickly. Agents will be thinking, they have a fall back option of £7k per week at City and will look to get better money elsewhere. Only when the window is closing will they be interested in City, as wages and prices fall.
Club valued him at £5 million but Alzate said he wants to go so Acun knocked the price down for Atlanta. Such a generous bloke.
