Forecast of some of the answers when it happens... Makes sense,he was earning £95k a week.. We've made good money... Just didn't want to be here... We got him on a free... He was sh!t anyway... We can replace him with some Nigerian we've never heard of... Never liked him,he was greedy... Shelvey(his replacement) says he smells like an Arab...
Alzate is undoubtedly a v good player, v classy and I think in a good team he'll stand out, for us I felt he didn't influence our games enough at the attacking end so I'm relatively comfortable IF we're getting a sizable fee for him....anything less than 3m I'll be annoyed
Didn’t Atlanta pay stupid money for Latte Lath? Something like $22 million? I’m not that bothered about Alzate going if we can get a really good fee for him. Some posters have indicated he doesn’t want to be here and he missed both friendlies in Turkey due to ‘injury’ that he will miraculously recover from once he joins a new team.
Gut feeling - fed on our desperation and our transfer savvy - I'd be pleasantly surprised if the initial fee is 7 figures.
Yeah, it’s certainly worrying. As for free agents, I’d be trying to sign players like Kristijan Bistrović, Loreintz Rosier, Ervin Omić, Ilija Vukotić etc. to add physicality, athleticism and depth in midfield. If by some miracle the fee restriction is completely overturned, then we can register Puerta and Laalaoui and maybe sign someone else for a fee. Right now, we don’t have a recognised number 6 after selling Simons and with Alzate almost out the door. We only have Crooks and Slater as number 8s and Palmer as a number 10 as well.
You'll probably be even more annoyed when you never get to know....What's the betting on 'undisclosed fee'?
We'll be getting a good deal for him. There was plenty of interest and the club valued him at about £5m.
Not bad for a player with one year left on his contract and didn’t want to be here (as you mentioned previously). Famewo’s a decent larker even if he’s a bit injury-prone, though nowhere near as bad as Hause.
