Problem with Lokilo he was everything but. He used to run down the wing turn inside and pass it. Everytime.

 

But Ajayi will be on more than Macca or Alfie yet he's available a lot less of the time, so how does it make sense?

Its the way it works Ric. Unless they're guns Academy lads start on peanuts and sit on the bench for the first team if they're lucky. That is where Stan Ashbee is right now. There is no issue in my mind to bring in 2.5 mil and put young Stan on the bench instead of Macca. We are desperately short of money and need to start giving game time and experience to the prospects.

Its pretty obvious we need cash in the business. 90% of clubs are cash flow weak at this time of year because TV money isn't paid until September, no games means no income other than pass holders and some sponsorship. We have also had issues paying suppliers and are reliant on transfer money coming in to pay bills accordong to the owner.
Carrying a 4th and 5th choice CB pairing on the off chance we get 2 injuries in that position is madness. We are losing money on a weekly basis so getting them off the books, cashing in a few million and giving a youngster or two a promotion in the pecking order is very good business for me. All of this embargo stuff may just be a blessing in disguise forcing Acun to let Dublin trim the squad and bring in some free transfers on regular wages instead of him playing football manager and throwing money around like monopoly money.

However, I may be wrong and we may be filthy rich and Acun just doesn't like Scottish people so Macca has been shown the door.

that’s my position too …this EFL embargo…might just give a big reset, give some of the kids the chance to push on into the first team, sign some free old heads to nurture & protect them & aim to finish about 19th. That would be a successful season imho
