Fair point sort of forgot about Woodman. I guess ‘long term 3rd choice’ is maybe a better option? Either way, ignore Pecsi and point remains on the rest. 24 oldest new signing with Ekitike also only 23 effectively replacing 29 year old Jota

It's right on the moneyball reputed strategy

You'd start to wonder about the endos and thiagos and chiesas at this point as to why the club didn't keep to its own strategy even more.

Mind you gravenberch and Szoboszlai were perfect moneyball too.

Macallister is going to be 27 this season. 2 good years in and already ready to move to real according to rumours.

    Same for konate.

It does feel like we should be more focused on massive profits from players who are willing to leave with medals in the pockets and buying quality in.

Macallister is too slow. If we get a big real offer I'd be happy wave him goodbye. He's a worker, he's massively talented but he will want to go.

Konate is too injury prone. He's done the work of two for 3 years to save benedict Arnold blushes and he puts himself in but if he wants to go then let's get 50 back amd let psg and real fight it out.

This is the end point of moneyball.

Buy someone you know can beat the stats (Ekitike could explode) and sell on the ones who have beaten the stats.

Maca is by far our best midfielder. Arguably our best player. He’s the last player I’d want to leave tbh.

Well it seems they want him enough to be putting out stories thst he wants them

Same as bayern making out diaz wants them.

Only time will tell with both.

But macallister is slow. He's great but when we play the real big games in the cl and top (3) of the prem someone has to make that pace up. It's not gravenberch.

I feel we are doing a great job building a side to do something but the last pieces of the jigsaw for next season is cb and cm.

I feel we have something really good if players who should feel they are part of it stop staring at a fat mess of a club in white.

Why anyone would want to be a water carrier for mbaappe, vini jnr and trent I don't know. That side will struggle to beet barca and won't beat psg because thry won't work as an 11.

Lfc imo can win the league again and push on if this team comes together well.

Wirtz at 10 is a major upgrade.
Szoboszlai facing goal from rw or 8 (when salah is off at afcon) will be much better.
Ekiteke might explode, I don't know he looks fast.
I'd like macallister to tie it together but if he wants real then he has to go.

I'm eager to see our new full backs at work with some balace at cb and cm to allow it to happen.

Our prime was 2019. We won the cl and won the title before Christmas.

Prime Robertson and benedict Arnold, prime mane, salah, firmino. Fucntional midfield. Prime alisson and vvd.

What a side around thst midfield.

How we've two oap worldies needing to cement their legacy again surrounded by players who can absolutely explode onto the world stage.<diva>

we cannot replace maca….not easily anyway. I’d be flabbergasted if we sold him now.

So is Messi, but I get you're point. It's no coincidence that the better the game Szobbo plays and the more ground he covers, the more Macca has time to do his stuff and shine.

Yes but the better the opposition the more you need the pace to cover the ground closing down as well.
