I imagine that'll just be him saying what we're hoping for, which is that this goes away and we can make transfers.

I thought he looked good yesterday. His pass started the move for the goal and there were loads of other great passes.

Yep,that's the way we give our longest servant a send off...

At least have the good grace to wish him some sort of well after ripping him to bits.

Feels a bit like when we brought Huddlestone back but Tom was a top bloke and a top guy. Shelvey's a prick by all accounts so I don't see what he offers, he's looked meh in the friendlies too when I expected him to impress as it's really slow paced

Huddlestone was far better than Shelvey will ever be, even in his second stint with us.

Tyrhys Dolan, Grady Diangana, Rhian Brewster and Henry Onyekuru are available on frees at the moment for the wide/forward positions.

Liam Henderson, Krijstian Bistrovic, Jairo Riedewald and Mathias Normann are also available on free transfers in the central midfield position.

There's quality there if we want it/the EFL backs the **** off.

    Sad to see McCaughlin
Have they never heard of continuity? They’d have at the least made good solid back ups the one area of the park where the squad needed no additions. But I guess if they both wanted first team football though, probably best to cash in.

Diangana used to be very good. No idea why he’s gone backwards.

Wouldn’t go near either of Normann or Onyekuru if they’ve just been on saudi money

You're missing the point. Solid back ups that (if Jones goes for 2mil) bring in 2.5mil to much needed club bank accounts and replaced with 'back ups' on smaller wages. Its great business.

Why have back up players costing you north of 15k a week combined when we have young players happy to he 4th and 5th choice CB for peanuts.

Good motivation that for any young player Jim?

Come to us,we'll pay you buttons and you'll be 4th or 5th choice(in short, you won't get a game but you'll at least have the opportunity of flexing your muscles in front of our adoring faithful in W12)...:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Could be another Lokilo. He looks quick and direct. I suppose we can’t be too picky.

It seems he can play either wing too. We need more bodies in midfield; a number 6 and another number 8 at least.

Last 2 friendlies it’s been clear that the likes of Palmer etc won’t work with how he wants his midfield to play. Tinsdale whilst not as effective on the ball gives us miles more intensity. Not surprising to me as to why he got 60 in the 10 over Palmer. He’s not the answer but he’s probably going to be favoured to Palmer.

Crooks has looked good so far also. Will be massive for us this year
