So pleased to see that our club will NOT be p issed about by players, agents or other clubs demands. I don't know how good Lauriente is or could be...but I do know that with our current owners, we will never be taken for a ride..which for fans, thats great to hear...Plenty of other players out there.
Maybe just maybe we have decided to pull the plug and use the money towards two CBs, or a striker or money for expensive loan deals
We clearly want another winger so I wouldn’t worry. Journos have said we held talks with other targets and could revisit them now
Might just need a tweak to his lifestyle. Didn't Giggs have massive hamstring troubles for years which just cleared up as he hit his late 20s. Went on to a decent career that lad. Brother cuckolding aside.
Sorry mate, but you're overthinking it massively. He's excelled on the right at Brugge. He's not uncomfortable there at all. He may be better on the left in the long term and that might be where he eventually ends up, but a slow debut in pre-season is all it was.
Just caught up with the highlights and recap from the game yesterday Clear as day we still need a good few players to make up a good squad, pretty much the whole back line from the 2nd half need replacing, probably browne and aleksic too
We'll never know, but the hot money would be on the agent. He will have rolled the dice late on probably. If so, it just one more example of a player suffering because of an agent's grasping behaviour, Nice to see we have very quickly given him the bum's rush.
I am quite excites to see how we go for as a loan option. Mind you, I doubt we get a good one only to play when Africa is on...
Wasn't the back line second half basically our under 21s ? Not sure what you mean by needing replacing It sounded to me like they didn't do too badly. O9, cirkin and hjelde to come back in. Just a couple of defensive reinforcement needed imo
If the club were presented with a late and changed demand they might very well just pull out. I'm pleased they did if that's what happened. He was travelling for a medical. Everything would have been agreed.
I had no idea he had been bad mouthing his club. Sounds like we have dodged a bullet if that is the case.
I agree with the second bit but, even though it feels churlish to say so while the direction of travel is so positive, the club can certainly get it wrong when bringing in players. We’ve got recent history of chasing hard for the wrong players and even some of the more concrete links this summer have been a bit dumb. It’s impossible to have a 100% hit rate but every signing isn’t 4d chess. Sometimes they just **** up. Edit:not for a second saying Talbi is an error. He did look a bit quiet last night but it’s very early to say one way or another abiut the rhs thing. More a comment on us signing three of a similar type. I was one who viewed Lauriente as overkill.
The u21 back line did really well in the second half. Our right back and Pat looked good. Sevilla were a set of niggly sods and the ref let them get on with it, first time I have seen someone try to tackle a free kick taker. Off to see the lads train this afternoon, looking forward to it.
