The civil war that went on for over a decade was sectarian. There was about 20 different militias going around slaughtering each other. Sunni, ****e, Kurds, Druze and whoever else, all mainly just fighting against each other and trying to wipe each other out.
Yeah it seemed to me on the few different reports I've seen, it's just a case of pick up a gun, stay in a pack, and shoot any other packs you see - and if the media are with you just go full on gung ho.

Yeah it looks mental, complete breakdown in law and order. Even the Druze aren't a united group, there are Druze that definitely want to be part of a united Syria under the new leader, but this radical cleric who Israel are backing has fractured the delicate peace there and now you have all sorts of Bedouin tribes coming to fight them, a divided Druze community, and a Syrian army who Israel are bombing. I know you think I'm over critical of Israel, but their strikes on Syrian forces was a completely aggressive move that has caused so much harm in Syria. Netanyahu might talk about protecting 'our Druze brothers' but he doesn't give a ****. What about the Druze who want to be a part of the new Syria ? His interest is as always, is what can Israel gain from this. And in this case it's the occupied Golan Heights which where a majority of Israeli Druze live The Golan Heights is Syrian territory, occupied by Israel since 1967. Netanyahu would love to get his grubby little hands on it for good. And he's prepared to stoke a civil war in Syria to get it.

Behave yourself They never had anything to do with the Golan heights until 1967 which you correctly stated and that was because that’s where they were attacked from. Obviously it’s a place that puts their nation at threat, so when they won the war, they didn’t let the Syrians have it back. Makes sense.
Well you know, if Syria didn’t use it as a place to attack Israel from then it wouldn’t be an issue. Like I said, it makes sense why they’ve occupied that place.
What struck me about that Sky News interview, was just how fractious the situation was and how easily she and her camera people could have been set upon. You had Syrian forces on one side and what looked like tribal fighters on the other, at one point an argument breaks out, and with everybody carrying, it's not a place that you could guarantee your safety for one minute !
Yeah, there are Druze that want to be part of Syria and the new Govt. And there are Bedouin tribes that want to be part of a united Syria too. You can't blame them either, they have had years of civil war. But of course there are always going to be fractious elements in a place that has such a diverse ethnic and religious makeup and a history of conflict And of course, there are always going to be people that want to exploit that, if they think they can get something out of it.
It's just mental mate, yesterday was worse, but it was hard to tell if it was all for show of strength. But certainly looked liked they had got themselves cornered in a dangerous situation, BUT.....not totally convinced everything we were seeing weren't just for the cameras. I think probably the most dangerous one of recent years, was when they got ambushed on the outskirts of Ukraine, don't know how they got out of that one alive. Strange part is it is like the BBC reporter who ended up in a wheelchair, it happened in a moment when you wouldn't have expected the risk to be high.
Bollocks That’s where the Syrian forces were building up to attack Israel. Israel bombed the **** outta them and realised it was a place that made them vulnerable so never let them have it back. Makes sense to me. Anyway, how come the west shouldn’t have got involved in Syria when Assad was committing genocide but should definitely do something about Israel committing genocide? Yeah so they stole it from Syria By that rationale, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine should occupy Israel because they clearly represent a threat to them lol As for the west, they wanted Assad gone, but had no real plan for what might come next. They could easily cut off Benny the Butcher's $$$$ and weapons and push to replace him with Meretz and they wouldn't even have to bomb the place
Thing is my outlook on it is we can keep blaming people forever, but they just need to ****ing stop, all sides are acting like lunatics, the whole supply chain for your own survival will break down and all for what, no food, no water, infrastructure destroyed and lots of dead bodies, just to call yourself a winner.
