Any agreement before medical is only temporary and not a full agreement. Anything could of happened, last minute agent demands or medical concern. That's said, if it was medical related, I think that would have been noted to a point. I think this is last minute demands and we have said no.
Right, hear me out. Having watched Talbi (albeit for just 45 mins) last night, I think he’s definitely better on the left. Therefore my need to sign a left footed right winger has increased even higher. With Adingra and Talbi being our left wingers, and us needing a third striker, and us also needing a left winger during AFCON…. I think we need to pivot to a player who’s predominantly a striker but can play left wing. rather than a left winger who can play striker. If that makes sense. not saying that’s why it’s fallen through. Just that if we get a striker who can play left wing, along with a left footed right winger, the balance of our squad will be much better than if Lauriente had signed
Think we can do better if we really want that position filled. Get me a genuine left winger, not some hybrid jack of all sorts.
That it’s being spun to the local press lads as ‘agreement with all parties’ means it’s absolutely the agent
If hes messed us about then we rightly.have moved on. Can we go get Harvey Elliot instead please and thank you
Im sure we'll have Mundle back by then aswell as a new signing. Nothings been announced yet about how long Mundles recovery will be.
Oh well. We move on. It’s a shame, but I think we’ll be fine. I’d actually prefer the money spent elsewhere and us bring in a winger on loan. Once Mundle is fit, 5 wingers would have been too many too keep everyone happy, particularly when we also have cover with Mayenda/Isidor/Le Fee/Aleksic. Loan in a winger to compete with Adingra on the left wing whilst Talbi and Roberts compete for the right wing. Put that 20m towards the centre back spend.
basically I was saying last night we arguably had too many left wingers and not enough players who can play right wing. Not saying we’ve pulled out but with Talbi looking more like a left winger than a right winger, Lauriente was arguably the wrong profile
Surgery was meant to be minor and not full reconstruction due to a full rupture. That tells me it could be 6-8 weeks and not 10-12. Good news.
Was like the El Khannouss interest. Nice player but left us imbalanced. We really need a left footed attacker adding.
The signing didn’t make sense to me when it was announced so can’t pretend to be gutted it’s off, use the money saved to get diakete over the line, easy this
