Isn't Brisbane CBD their local cannabis farm? :emoticon-0138-think

. No it’s just a weird Australian thing where they call all of their city centres a CBD ( central business district). Makes sense for some, but not at all for others.

This Lions team is very good. Fit, strong, street wise, and no push overs.

Almost bought a house in Auchenflower. Massive flood zone though. The 11k a year insurance was enough of a deterrent. Just bought one in Coorparoo. Some fantastically named suburbs. I’ve just moved up from the Gold Coast. My favourite there was Worongary

Great result sets up a great series I’d think

Mate’s gone over for this test and took his lad. (Might be out for all three, I’m not sure) Chuffed for him

Apologies I’m not really into Rugby so don’t know, but is it common to have a Lions team without any Welsh players?

No....but it kind of sums up the state of Welsh rugby at the moment.

Takes me back to an Oz/Brit jointly produced BBC radio series called "The Flying Doctor", set on the Oz outback..
Several times in the half hour show the phrase "Flying Doctor calling Wallamboola Base" or the Base calling the plane back was used.Exciting stuff for a young teenager back then. :emoticon-0100-smile
Another odd exotic Oz place name which sadly may have been fictional.

Any other geriatric board members recall the program ?

Didn't it get turned into a TV Series eventually?
I seem to remember that when I was a kid.

Edit: It wasn't when I was a kid, it was in 1985, I was 31 by then. Funny how ya memory plays tricks on ya.

Aha, wasn't aware of the 80's TV series as I had emigrated to Toronto in the early 70's.
