All new lads were spot on, bar Talibi who didn’t really get into the game. Seelt and Huggins looked very good too.
Did well mate, Diarra and Sadiki the stand outs for most - Enzo, Seelt and Huggins all very good as well Abdullahi is a unit and a real handful, Aleksic was a threat in the 2nd half and we wwll organised throughout The pace of the 1st half team was impressive
Probably right, think Wilson frustrates me the more I see him and cant see him doing well in the Prem, far to soft.
“In pre-season there are always cases where you don't have injuries but maybe some small overloads that you have to manage,” he said. “This was the case today with Anthony, with Chris [Rigg] and Nectar [Triantis]. There are no worries for them.”
Great seeing him getting started in preseason and not being scheduled to return at some vague future date. Rate the lad, hard to say who steps up to the prem but he's one I think will.
Just got back to the hotel after the game, a quick read through here on the coach on the way back. Summed up pretty well, the first half pace was electric, the lads looked in fantastic condition and pulled no punches considering it was a ‘friendly’ game. Sevilla are dirty buggers, constantly fouling, the refereeing was very poor. Somebody commented on here that the stadium looked canny, it’s poor, facilities crap, toilets very poor, my partner told me that the toilet seats were all removed in the ladies, presumably so they couldn’t be used as missiles? Security was way over the top, for us at least, the opposition fans brought flares though. Rant over, thoroughly enjoyed the game and can’t wait for the meet and greet and training session tomorrow and the game on Monday. Our newbie’s looked great and seemed to be in tune with the way Regis wants them to play already. Buzzing!
He does, big strong lad but that's nothing special, he's also got great technical ability good mobility and seems to be unruffled in any situation. I like him a lot.
Just catching up. Didn't see the match but it sounds like we played well judging by the positive comments on here. Onwards and upwards.
Poor 2nd half and the defending the same as last season no subs though a joke the new players better do it Hume, and the goaly were great but that chance to go 2-0 up horrible
I didn't watch any of it so can someone tell me, did they do the usual pre-season of making a full team of subs at half time?
What is fact is that every time Higgins is on the park he looks like one of our best players. With the new signings, that point still stands. I am absolutely rooting for the lad, he deserves some fortune, a run and a career. The mental strain on him just have been horrific.
