Middle classes or wannabe snobs call Lincoln East Midlands. Working class its just North or South. Your accent makes you a Northerner or Southerner And like I say My mum and Dad moved "north" so they could afford a house.....in the 70s. before everywhere north of London was left behind and industry disappeared.
During my apprenticeship (many years ago) I got some advice on short cutting the system. Find someone you don't like and buy them a house.
Snap these up before homes under the hammer get there then. Not for non football fans. These are 100 yards from the gates of Sincil Bank. lol:
I do like my ex. And my son lives there too. I just couldn’t stand to spend another minute with her Money well spent!
If staying in the UK it would be Wales for me. Good chance I'll **** off once he's grown up still. Only 7/8 years to go.
I firmly believe marriage as an eternal bond is a bad idea. People never lived this long, nor stayed this healthy and able to make important life decisions in the past. The vast majority of people have a finite length of interest in another person. And if you are one of those lucky pairs who never lose interest, why do you need marriage anyway?
I am 3 years away from escape! I am thinking of a couple of years in Germany and then wander to the next place.
Because our antiquated laws mean parental rights and stuff like that leans more towards married couples still.
I quite like the idea of spending a good number of years as a digital nomad in Asia. Never spending too long in one place.
That's doable but make sure you're working within local regulations and have access to good medical facilities. We could live in Indonesia, I qualify for a retirement visa there or other Asian countries but we're happy to have extended vacations.
As an Englishman living in the Netherlands with my Indonesian wife marriage with the accompanying paperwork and registrations smoothed our path. We're the best part of twenty years together and will celebrate our anniversary and my birthday on Bali later this year.
