Ok the standard is nowhere near the men’s.
Don’t get me started on the quality of penalties.

…. but to come back from 2-0 down against a much bigger physical side and still win on penalties despite missing 3 takes balls (or equivalent).
    Lucy Bronze is a beast.
    Well done girls.
The standard is way off but the attitude is fking spot on and the men need to tske note - the men have the skill but not the attitude.
A lot of the time attitude wins over skill.

Bronze was our best player IMO for the goal and the banging crucial pen of course but her leadership and experience was a lighthouse when most others weren't playing anything smartly at all

Didn’t see the game, zero interest, but always love a penalty shootout. This one though, jeez, everyone of them before Kelly went on the same spot, and their keeper said thank you very much. Some of them were so feeble, she could have gone the other way and still recovered in time. The first one that Sweden scored was a worldie though tbf, no saving that, regardless of gender.

Like Supcon, zero interest but flaming R&W has made me watch a rerun of those penalties.

Funniest bit was the Sweedish goalie pulling of those saves and going for glory on the final penalty. NASA are employing her to launch some more satellites.

IMG_6062.jpeg Spain missed a penalty last night too.
The standard of penalties in particular has been beyond dire.
