She’ll survive. She has sold 3 times more records than Oasis, who you will have heard of. First female singer to become a billionaire from her music alone. (Not that I knew that, couldn’t name a single song of hers but google is a helpful thing.)
She also writes most of her own songs, and plays loads of instruments on them. Like her or not she gets respect from me for being the real thing.
She’s very talented and I wouldn’t go out my way to listen to her some quite good songs when I do hear them
Not my cup of tea(a genre thing, not her talent) but she's very popular. My youngest daughter and granddaughter went to see her recently. Very expensive for tickets, merch, vinyl etc...
Had to read that twice, the first time I read it as 'Creme Brulee'. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
£35-£40 for a Tee-Shirt at a gig nowadays and they're mass produced, cheap rubbish.I remember back at the beginning of the punk rock movement, you sent to London for Clash T-Shirts(£2.99,cheque or P.O) advertised in the music newspapers and they were hand produced/screen printed by the same lass who made the group's clobber...Superb gear and lasted many years. My Granddaughter is big on vinyl and you don't get any of the Taylor Swift stuff reduced or in buy 3 for £66 offers etc,bit expensive for most kids.
Don’t get me started. My Missus and daughter, together with a couple of friends, went to see her last year. Travel to Edinburgh, 2 nights accommodation, gig tickets (complete with some sort of additional merch package), food, drink - way over a grand for the pair of them. Highest grossing tour of all time? You’re not kidding. Most of it came out of poor Ernie’s wallet.
Agree. She has done well and is talented. Just not my thing. Maybe if I was 50 years younger and listening to current music it would be different. Give me people like her over girl and boy bands prancing about lip syncing to songs written and produced by others.
I was never big on buying Dylan albums. He's one of my 'the very best of....collection on CD,a bit like Springsteen,as in,I like their well known/commercial/more popular tracks but haven't delved much deeper. Fantastic wordsmith though Dylan
Good job she's not into BTS Korean boy band with 7 members. Now that some are off doing their national service in the army all the others are launching their solo careers. There's hardly a weekend goes by without one of them being on stage somewhere.
