Interesting, Chief's just being passive aggressive today, rather than the blathering bellend he was yesterday. I agree with him re Wissa....well he basically makes the same point I did earlier.
It’s a start because they aren’t exactly players you’d sign to win the title. Finally looks like they’re being sensible, starting again and if this new team they’re putting together can consolidate them back in the top 6/7, then they can start to go for the elite players working towards challenging for the league, again.
I think Mbuemo is top top tier to be honest and could play in a title challenging team. Cunha I'm not as convinced by, the talent is there but the games I've seen him in (probably only 5-10 in total in fairness) he just drifts in and out and doesn't always have a big effect. That said they're both huge upgrades on some of the tossers they're replacing.
Wolves would have been in all sorts of trouble last season if it hadn't been for Cunha ... he's a talent and no mistake...
I hear you, you're saying Man Utd have signed him to keep them safe from relegation. Gotcha. I'm sure he's very good but my money is on Mbuemo to be more transformative for them. I guess good for them that they get to have both.
He will get permission to speak to them, but end up at Liverpool. Sounds like he will down tools to get out of Newcastle.
Yeah no statements about how he’s happy and wants to stay there. The silence is deafening. If he stays there his heart won’t be in it. They might as well cash in and use the money for DCL’s signing on fee and wages.
come on Newcastle, just announce DCL and let me watch the light leave the souls of the black and white mackems.
I’m not so sure, mate. He stood out at Brentford, but it’s a huge leap to perform at the very top level. I guess we are about to find out over the next couple of seasons. Hope you’re keeping well, Haslam.
