Interestingly Donald Trump is saying that there is..... "no credible evidence implicating the rich and powerful in the Epstein case".....well yes he would say that being one of that grouping.....he knew Epstein very well years back......and the sooner Epstein is swept under the carpet the better it would suit him......Oh to have been a fly upon the wall all those years back....what would we have seen ?

The people of Plymouth voted against having am elected mayor on a turnout of 19%, 19,800 to 18,000. I used to be apathetic but I just can't be bothered any more.
Not sure if that is a good result or not.....some of the Northern Mayors do seem to have some clout and get the North recognized......fine result if you want to keep Plymouth as a sleepy little backwater with no M-ways or up graded railways and of course no Airport to rejuvenate trade and commerce.....and also to to keep the area a no go area for top pro football. 19% turnout....pathetic.....no one seems to care.

But this is a great photo of a flight on final approach to Hong Kong's Kai Tak airport. please log in to view this image Before you got to where this plane is now, you came in from over those hills you can see behind and then turned sharp 90 degrees right onto finals. Infamously, a large target was fixed to a tall building (probably residential) which the pilot aimed at before making that turn. I do remember one of our many Greek holiday destinations was approached low over the sea and the shortish runway ended in the sea very quickly the other end..,.,,there was a beach either end and you could literally see the whites of the bathers eyes as you came in low over the beach. Because of the limited runway length....aircraft leaving would take on board very limited fuel (to keep the weight down)......and we would land at Thessaloniki a shot flight away to take on fuel for the journey back to blighty.
IF....this got out of hand....and Donald Trump was found guilty of writing the alleged letter to Epstein....and he got impeached.....then the horror result of that would be the rottweiler known as JD Vance would become the leader of the "free" world........that would be unthinkable....and you would be hoping that Trump rides the storm. PS......Don't forget Trump is 79yrs old....and could keel over anytime soon.....and you would get JD Vance anyway as your next saviour of the free world. It is quite depressing thinking of it all happening. Vice Presidents generally sit quietly in the background.....but that time in the White House when Trump was blaming Volodymyr Zelenskyy for starting the war......JD Vance starting mouthing off the "President" of Ukraine as well.....he should have shown more respect for someone who was above him in rank officially......he showed up as the snide of a person who lets power takeover his ego.....a very dangerous person....lets hope Trump doesn't kick the bucket whilst President and the Republicans pick someone else as their next candidate. Jeffrey Epstein's "side kick".....Ghislaine Maxwell in prison in the States must know enough to blow the lid off many a "celebrities" life if she so chose....it might get her out of prison sooner. I wonder if Prince Andrew has got a sweat on at the moment....oh of course he has told us he doesn't sweat.....heh...heh...heh.
Good weather forecast for gardeners last night.....maybe a bit too good......South East was promised torrential rain...thunder and lightning and possible flooding....this was all happening between the hours of 4am and 11am. Well the fact is we have had a bit of light drizzle and darkened skies....no torrential rain....no thunder and lightning....certainly no flooding around here. The forecast for this area at the moment shows rain followed by rain.....maybe my road is trapped in weather conditions just for us and no one else. Hose ban is covering the west of Thames Water....but not us at the moment.....soon be us I reckon.
