The cot was not very comfortable and I had a restless night thus resulting in letting you good folk down, apologies.
Too many people are knocking one out on our signings and the board. To bring things back down to earth, they have to do what they are doing OR we'll end up 24th. It just comes down to the relevant Championship experience of the players being good enough.
Well said. Of course many fans are going to be feeling optimistic about this coming season. What the team achieved in the Spring of this year seemed impossible. But there are no grounds yet to believe that all the problems at the Club which led to CAFC spending five straight seasons in the 3rd tier - and none of them aside from 2024-25 looking remotely like coming back up again - have just gone away. Optimism is fine. I wouldn't mock fellow supporters for looking on the sunny side. It would be nice though if that courtesy was returned. If those supporters who are feeling positive would respect the right of other fans not to completely share that positivity. We all want Charlton to do well. That's a given. But I'm a bit tired of the inference that glass-half-empty types (like me most of the time) don't bubble over with enthusiasm because we want the Club to fail. The second half of last season was a great achievement. For me more proof of real progress will be for NJ and the boys to do what Chris Powell & the team did in season 2012-13. And consolidate.
