The bit that does make sense about all of this is that Ekitike and Isak are very similar. It never seemed likely to me that the plan was for them to play together.
an owner of 2 seperate clubs trading players between those clubs at inflated prices to get round PSR its all moot anyway as won't happen
Aye made no sense. Maybe this was always on cards and Etikike agent leaked Mags interest as he wanted a big club.
i think the current 'top leagues' will go, with the prize money and worldwide coverage that they get from such as the european competitions and now this club world cup that looks likely to grow...the leagues will mean nowt, the super league that was talked about will simply have more money thrown into it with those against it getting a big cut, unfortunately greed always wins and the saudis know people will always want more. what was that one earlier. 1bn per year...mental.
I don’t give a **** if there’s a super league. Short term may be damaging, but I’d watch a PL with no Manchester and North London clubs. Theres plenty of massive clubs outside the PL and the product would remain far better than a round robin of the same games.
The super league would give everyone a chance to reset and they go off and play their closed shop while teams like us, Leeds, sheff utd, Everton, palace etc play in an ultra competitive top division
If Isak goes to Saudi for an inflated fee get ready for Girona buying Grealish for £200m and Strasbourg getting Chalobah for £180m. They’ll all be at it.
Aye. And it would be brilliant. Facts are we are at a stage of accepting defeat to City etc it’s ****e anyway. Do we really lose out if we can compete with great clubs like Leeds, Everton, West Ham etc clubs that haven’t been moulded and are plastic as ****? I don’t think so. Everyone be bored of a super league after a season then those clubs are ****ed. A club like us could thrive,
Not that I am getting carried away with Xhaka, but why has a private flight just been chartered for tomorrow from brazil to faro
100% agree mate. Let the big 6 go and then the efl can reboot football. Our pyramid system is / was the envy of the world, distribute tv money fairly, ban state ownership for a start. Tv companies and sponsors would pay decent but not daft money to show it and people would watch. Look at the championship next season, there's probably 8 or 9 plus teams in with a shout of promotion
