This is why I don't like hearing people saying we are winning the window. Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth and West Ham hardly done a thing on incomings.
Yeh I understand. But from my point of view the longer it takes for an in-demand player, the less likely it is to happen. Only subtly. The quicker it happens the better. Doesn't mean it won't happen. But hypothetically and completely "finger in the air", lets say we had a 50% chance of signing Xhaka on Tuesday when it leaked, I'd say after about a week, for every day that passes, that probability drops 1% or so. And the rate it drops depends on how in demand the player is.
D Don’t think Fulham have signed anyone, imagine if we hadn’t by now. We’d have been panicking like mad.
I don't think this means Mundle is definitely going personally, remember we won't have adingra and Talbi during afcon and we still need options
Yeah it’s fair to excited but we have to judge at the end. Moving people in earlier is important for us because we’re adding to a weaker side, others are just topping up a premier league squad
I have a feeling the Centre Half signing will be huge, it wouldn't surprise me to see £40 million plus spent on a top drawer player.
We'd still need another. Question marks on Ballard and Aji staying fit + O9 could easily struggle or do his shoulder. In an ideal world Seelts bosses it.
Updated. Again first choice second choice isn’t set in stone also I need to see more friendlies to decided which midfielder is covering which part of midfield
I hate this too ..... I am usually a fully paid up member of the happy clappers, and I am over the moon with the business we have done so far .... but also very realistic as to just how big of a jump it is between the championship and the Premier ..... we are buying €20M players which is great and exciting ..... but every established premier league team is absolutely full of €20-€40M rated players .... we are high on the spenders list because we we so far behind everyone else to begin with ..... Loving that we are showing some ambition and having a go .... but even if we spend €200M .... our squad will be worth what? half the value of most mid table teams?? Its lovely signing players, I hope they all turn out great and the model .... sorry, the AMBITIOUS PROJECT pays off. But honestly still going to be tough as hell to get 17th or above.
Only thing I'd change is maybe move Talbi to first choice (I know you said to ignore the first choices), and I think we'll keep Alan Browne until January at least.
That diakete (probably butchered it but I’m dyslexic so picking on me is a hate crime) would fall into that category hope there’s truth in the link
I'm really hoping Alese can stay fit and Seelt and 09 can step up. I have faith in most of the play off final squad to make the step up.
