Ndidi supposedly interesting United ... meanwhile... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cg4rdlz6wxxo
The Nichlas Jackson figure made me chuckle the other day. If that kid is worth 100 million then we should value Isak at 300 Mill as he's at least 3 times the player.
TL; DR - I'm bemused I'm not even averse to signing DCL. I don't want him, he's not who I would pick but overall I'd be more worried if we blew our transfer budget on a forward (which we still seem like we want to do). I'd take DCL plus us spending the money where we desperately need it spending in our team. I'm a touch bemused by our actions over the last week (or at least our reported actions). As fans we've all had it (whichever club you support) where you can see an obvious glaring weakness in your team and for some reason the club seems blind to it and want to bring in players for every position except that one. I rate Botman but his injury record is poor, that means we have Burn and Schar (both played well last season but are bang average Prem defenders playing well) and our backup is... Lascelles (ffs) and Krafth (a RB who can't get a game for us at RB). I'd also add that I think defenders need pre-season and to get used to their defensive colleagues, keeper and formation more than forwards do so should be a priority to bring in earlier.
Wissa the new target it is reported. A big step down for Newcastle in terms of talent level. It’s all good banter until a few select Newcastle fans get upset.
Like for like replacement for Wilson really, but actually stays fit, so would be a good signing for us. Although according to the gossip column today he wants to go to Spurs. We're not doing well right now lol.
My views are above tbh. I also think that if he gets the chance to work with Thomas Frank again he'll choose to do so, it's a no brainer. I would add that I said on here 2 years ago (when Tottenham ended up appointing Ange and selling Kane) that Thomas Frank would be ideal for Tottenham and would take a forward or two with him to fill the hole left by Kane. They went a different way back then, think we can all see I was correct though. Levy, if you want any more advice just let me know.
If any club signed Wissa on a five year contract they'd get a very decent five years out of him. He's a top player, extremely fit. There wouldn't be much sell on after that of course.
