Playing in Perpignan, tomorrow kick off 17:00.

Considerably higher level opposition than the last two games and anything other than a thumping will be welcome.

    Enjoy!

I looked at getting the train down for the match but either by train or car its over six hours each way...a bit tricky for a Friday afternoon. I see they've got Charlie Creswell, formerly of Leeds...so at least one of their players will understand any chants from away fans.

Thank you for the upsetting news. Why would a manager subject his new team to such floggings, l do not know. Thats no way to build confidence and get some ‘gelling’ happening.
Surely some non league team with little prospects would have been more suitable.

Lovely part of France though...a few days down there, some sun, good food and a glass of wine or two could work wonders for team building. Just got to ignore the actual football part of it.

I actually saw Toulouse play at the Parc des Princes a few years ago. I sat just next to the Ultras with my lad, who was 8 at the time. He came up with a chant, and started singing, 'Toulouse to lose...Toulouse to lose...Toulouse to lose...' Being bilingual this made absolute sense to him, but it did provoke a few glances from the die-hard PSG fans sat around us. :emoticon-0138-think.

    P.S - Messi scored a fantastic winner.

Be a good test this. You learn nothing about your team or players from hammering some low league opposition. Some may find that it's a level too much for them. How we set up will be interesting.

Yep. The first two games in pre-season have been about getting every available player out on the pitch to see what they've got. At some point, Stephane will start to hone in on his preferred 11, with some tinkering after each game, until the first Championship game of the season.

So, I'm guessing he'll have a few players that will play in both halves today. With that said, maybe not. Maybe it'll be a mishmash like the first two games. But it would be nice to see our new manager starting on that honing in process from today.

Very odd seeing loads of Rangers shirts having a lovely time along with scantily-clad French sunbathers. Makes me miss Preston and Stoke.

Loads of Hull KR fans on the flight on the way to see a match against Catalans tomorrow night so might get a ticket for that.

Bit warm. Not overly convinced the group drinking below as I type this from the hotel balcony are making it to the game. Had a delightful entrecôte saignant.

Been to see Leeds Rhinos a few times at Perpignan, well worth going if you can, normally a decent atmosphere

Yeah think I will. The group seem up for it. Hull KR fans are certainly nicer than Hull Tigers fans.
