He can also play RW and as a striker. Same as rusyn was supposed to do. Having the tactical flexibility to have wingers who either cut in, or run down the by-line and stick a cross in is important imo. Plus all our signings are young, maybe Rlb wants the ability to rotate the squad and not have to worry about our players being run into the ground. If we're going for pace and athleticism it makes sense imo
if buy some miracle will bring xhaka to the club, imagine how much he will bring on the youngsters such as rigg. he could add 10-15m value onto our midfield players which means ha has paid for himself
Confused on where he fits in a farke team atm their midfield options are longstaff Stach Tanaka Ampadu Gruev Aaronson very very defensive
That feels a bit steep for a signing from Serie B who is approaching 27 if we're also intend to play him in a position that he's rarely played in recent times. If he comes in he probably needs to be the last attacking player of the summer (barring replacements for unforeseen exits), which maybe puts a different spin on things. We can't just keep collecting players because they're nice. We're rapidly running out of available minutes for them. Hopefully the club feels it has found an edge if this one is real. Feels like he could cover multiple roles at least.
I’m not sure he’d be THAT good at centre forward in the prem. I’m not convinced he has the striker movement or physicality we need. id solely play him on the wing personally
RLB knows this lad so that gives me some comfort I dont mind having extra attackers, as feel there's always a good chance you'll use them off the bench at least
Maybe but I’m not convinced he’s an out and out 10. I think he would suit our version of a 10, but in fries system it’s very much the central sitter between lines would be an interesting watch for sure
Did I miss Fabrizo tweeting about a new deal being offered to Mundle yesterday? All abit weird this one
please log in to view this image His stats from lorient where he was at his most highly rated and where RLB worked with him
Yep i thknk we will play there Sounds like Ampadu might be used as a CB this season according to my Leeds mates
FWIW Transfermarkt suggests that his time at Lorient was mostly spent on the right. He also played centrally there as much as he did lw. Maybe Le Bris and Ghisolfi are spotting something that others aren't. Hope so as it feels like a hat on a hat otherwise
Genuine question which other Premier League club is going to guarantee Neil start every week. Very few I bet
