I definitely think we'll see Talbi on the right. For a right footer he seemed pretty good in Belgium at cutting inside from the right. I think his burst of pace helps him there.
Yeah just trying to think of the reasoning for signing Lauriente. Hope Mundle isn't away but this would mean having 3 who are definitely better from the left and then Talbi who may be better from the left.
I think it gives us good flexibility and cover, be great if we set up with two wide players and if its not working we have options available of similar quality, something we have never had since ever
I know some people wanted a different "type" of forward to compliment what we have but if RLB is all in on having counter attacking speedsters up there then this guy seems a decent shout.
Seems a similar profile to Wissa and Mbuemo before they played in the prem out and out wide forwards but played centrally with freedom in a counter attacking team
Think in a 2 that would be fine, unsure about him as a lone striker though. Does the article mention a fee?
Isidor - pace Mayenda - pace Mundle - pace Lauriente - pace Talibi - pace Adingra - pace Even if Mundle leaves, we are going to be deadly on the counter if we can break the offside trap.
A flexible forward makes sense if we plan to give most of the minutes to Mayenda and Isidor as the 9s. Otherwise the 3rd striker is hardly going to play
Surely this would mean the end of Roberts if true. For the record I spoke be thanks but no thanks won’t Roberts though I though he was much better last year. I know this lad largely operates from the left btw. Can Lauriente play the 10 /acm role for those who know better ?
I know I go on about it but also having another rapid winger isn't the worst thing in the world with Talbi and Adingra missing a chunk of the season.
