Haven't posted in ages but him and Macca are real unsung heroes.

Alfie has played 40+ games for the last 3 years, he's super consistent and about to enter his 'prime'.

People have said we'd signed Ajayi so it's fine, but Semi can't stay fit he's only started 41 games in the last 3 seasons. I don't understand why we signed him, and he's certainly not a replacement for Jones.

Surely as someone earlier said Puerta is already registered with us otherwise he could not have played for us last season. I am assuming that we did not de- register him so he does not need registering?

Big gray area. International loans used to count as permanent registrations as far as the EFL/FA was concerned. I think that changed with the Watford shenanigans though. Presumably we only held his registration on a temporary basis for last season as he was on loan. Who knows though really, don’t think anything like this has ever happened before.

Well Amin looks like you are right this from ChatGPT

In the English Football League (EFL), when a player is loaned to a club:

    • He becomes a registered player of the loaning (borrowing) club for the duration of the loan.

    • However, the registration is temporary, not permanent.

    • The player's parent club retains his permanent registration and his economic rights.

    • Once the loan period ends (or is terminated early), the player's registration with the loan club ceases, and he is no longer eligible to play for them unless re-registered.

    • He does not need to be registered for another club to lose his registration with the loan club — the expiry or termination of the loan ends that temporary registration.
So to directly answer your question:
No, the registration with the loan club is not permanent — it ends when the loan ends. The player doesn't need to be registered elsewhere for that to happen.

I swear at the time the Turkish club went bankrupt and hadn't paid their players so he left like the Sheffield Wednesday lads have

But yes, he's dodgy and surrounds himself with yes men.

Interesting. The series of posts by that club’s official account seems to accuse their former administration of dodgy deals more than anything and Acun just exploited it.

I’ve also seen some posts on X about Merthan Açıl. He worked as an advisor to Acun at City (I don’t know if he still does) but he’s been caught up in a huge corruption scandal in Turkey and has been issued an arrest warrant. He’s been accused of embezzlement and money laundering, specifically related to the procurement of tenders worth 334,718,000 Turkish lira (about £6,178,894) from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. I’ve seen some suggest this was used to funnel money into City as part of our cash flow.

The recent Athletic article by Phil Buckingham stated that Merthan Açil left City without an announcement last year, as well as Beri Pardo. City confirmed it, stating that they cut ties with Açil when it became clear he was involved in something. Whether they really knew about it is anyone's guess of course.

Seems daft that none of us noticed those two quietly disappearing.

I think that was probably the point.

The quicker they're all out of the club, the better. Even now they're trying to circumvent the rules with the Frigan signing (despite the EFL trying to protect us) and there's no way that Acun isn't funnelling their owner money for the deal in some way.

With respect to Baz, as Amin said earlier, these things get misunderstood and grow legs quickly. There is zero possibility that Puerta, a Leverkusen player, is on pre-season tour with Hull City, with Hull City paying his wages, with no prospect of joining or playing for Hull City, while Leverkusen try to sell him. That would be an absolute disaster of a mess if we were to fail in our appeal and therefore had to try to recoup wages for both Puerta and the Morroccan from their clubs who may already be spending that money.

EDIT: I see this has been covered in subsequent pages. Baz is great at times but this stuff frustrates me, just like the 'losing 500k a week' that he repeated enough times that it brainwashed everyone simply because he didn't understand what Maguire was saying.

It was just ****e reporting, there's no way the EFL can stop us from employing any individual. They can of course, stop that individual from playing in one of their leagues.

I also feel like they should be allowed to be registered if it can be appealed to an independent body. They were signed before we had any restrictions so it seems extremely harsh to punish the players.

Yes and when you’ve done that, could you also explain how quantum entanglement influences the thermodynamic properties of black holes, particularly in the context of Hawking radiation and the information paradox?

Does anyone know why we are selling key players at this moment in time? We've put all incoming transfers on hold due to the restrictions, it seems we cant even sign decent free transfers on high wages due to the EFL blocking us.

If we lose the appeal we're ****ed, free loans on low wages isnt going to bring in anyone decent but Acun thinks its a good idea to sell McLoughlin and Jones? He really is crazy.. just say all outgoings are on hold until after the appeal, its the logical thing to do.

He's just a bullshit artist, and thinks what he says will just be believed.

The fact we are here should be alarming for all.
