That'll do it. And you cwn't blame him either. We just can't compete with that, until the club find ways of drastically changing revenue streams. At least not under the current rules anyway.
I'd happily take him, for the right price. I just think there might be smarter moves for someone younger & cheaper.
Doubt it’s that high. Wirtz is ‘only’ on about 200k a week apparently so highly doubt Ekitike would come in as LFC 3rd highest earner behind Salah and vvd.
Wissa feels like a very short term solution. And in a year or 2 we'll be back in the same situation except there is the possibility Isak will be off/gone if he doesn't sign an extension. We don't want to go into a window needing to buy 2 strikers so get someone more long term in. Woltemade would be ideal but I can't see him going anywhere except Bayern. Pio Esposito (U21 Italian) out of Inter would be a good signing to bring through.
Absolutely no chance. He's had the opportunity to go to PL clubs before and none have stumped up due to his demands. Arsenal baulked at them so I can't see them diminishing for us.
Dear Newcastle United, could you please make sure that any future transfer business is kept secret so that the big boys dont go nicking the targets and make you look any more amateurish than yer already look when it comes to buying players. Ta!
I suspect it wasn't Newcastle that leaked it mate. Unless they did it on purpose of course to fend Liverpool off Isak.
Or the seller.... I suppose some idiot at the club could have, but it's unlikely the buyer would do that on such a big deal. Unless like I say it was all about dealing with Liverpools interest in Isak. Not one media muppett has considered my theory. It is simply preferable to make out like Liverpool played some kind of trick than the other way around.
I don't think the latter. Liverpool didn't come in for Isak until after we had enquired about Ekitike. Well, in terms of when things were all announced publicly at least.
