Because when something's on BBC as an article, it's generally gathered enough momentum to be more than just social media gossip, that's what the gossip section on the website is for. More probable than not in for him anyway.

BBC have to fact check. That means two independent sources confirm it. Pedro to Wissa is a hell of a jump. Love the fact he’d be out for the AFCON as well. As it stands we look very amateurish on transfers.
Maybe 15 years ago but the BBC is just another new outlet that is desperate for interaction. Gone are the days when they would only report things when they were 100% confirmed. They are in a battle for survival and relevance as apart from the older generation, nobody engages with them anymore. Kids today have no idea about the BBC, its netflix, youtube, tik tok instagram for their content.
Nah, they the only times they've done articles on our transfers recently is for JP, Elanga and Ekitike, when there's been actually bids. No bids yet, but we're clearly working on this.
Either way we’re likely in agreement that Wissa is not a great purchase. He’d be in the Barnes category. Would probably chip in here and there but mostly a waste of funds and another glaring example of a scouting system not fit for purpose.
Not for the reported £250k+ a week he's after. That's £100k more a week than he's worth imho but if that's what he's asking for and someone is prepared to pay it then good on the bloke. You're only in the game for 10+15 years max and able to command silly money unless you're in the elite club (Ronaldo, Messi, Salah etc) so you gotta gather yer nuts for winter whilst you can.
