You're completely, 100% right so not arguing with what you're saying. But every deal we've actually done this window has been quick and decisive, or at least its seemed it once its become public. Every deal that's become in any way "protracted" beyond even a single day after initially breaking (which I know is no time at all), hasn't happened. So I get the nervousness about things not clicking into place quickly - even if they're irrational.
I wonder if the reason neither club have announced Ekwah is because the lazy ****er hasn't even attended St Etienne to sign his new contract.
he had a great season Stat wise last season so I believe asse triggered their buy clause as they think they will be able to sell him on at a profit
if they are wanting 15-20m we will not pay that for a 32-year-old, and as you say if he has other offers, they will probably be better than a newly promoted team.
Not that I've ever been involved in any,but I imagine that very few of these transfer deals are the same and I can see that a deal involving an experienced, international player who's 32 years old would be markedly different from one involving a 19 year old prospect. And also with the selling club....they may or may not have an oven ready replacement, and, despite having agreed terms, may not want to do it just yet.
You're absolutely right, so not saying for one second that I agree the deal should be done by now. Just that I understand that nervousness when you look at the cadence of all our other signings this window which have been unusually "quick" once linked.
They've ruled out NEOM entirely and said we are a clear option. I'm not convinced we can't offer a good wage for him
We do mate, but I’d say if Neom are out of the running as they wouldn’t offer what Leverkusen wanted - we might be happy to give them what they want.
Eh? I'm saying I understand why somebody else is being impatient. I've not said anything about this one. I literally said the guy was right for saying we need to be patient. Did you even read the post?
