Perhaps nunez to frankfurt with kitkat coming other way. Then to bid on isak also. Room for 2 forwards in squad if nunez does go eventually for the required amount
Liverpool in talk with Aston Villa over Elliott. https://anfieldindex.com/84191/live...illa-over-deal-for-50m-midfielder-report.html
I have no idea if true but just read a rumour that all Saudi clubs have been banned of doing business with us due to the tapping up of Isak. Imagine if it were true…..a state influencing the game like that! Anyway, one of Isak or Etikit inbound. I hope it’s the former as the latter is harder to spell.
I’d like to think that it was all nonsense! If it were true, it would scupper any plans to sell Nunez to them…..given the moves we’ve made, they can imagine that response though….its the ultimate f*** you but a very dodgy precedent.
Are you in the camp that blood money is not desirable anyway or in the camp thst getting as much as possible for **** players is ideal?
All this striker talk is kind of sad. Not on that level ok, I can't be going back over it. I'm talking about jayden danns. Over the past, what 20 years? We have not generated another fowler or Owen. Danns is the closest I've seen to a kid who genuinely knows where the goals is and instinctively sees the finish required. He is not in the frame at all in this conversation as his body hasn't allowed him to force his way in. He will be 20 next January. He's lost all the time since the u18s and bursting into klopps league cup team. I don't think he had the pace you need but he has lost so much development and fitness time that he will now struggle to even get a club. And for me that is sad. Of all of the players I would have said he really gets it. I hope he can get fit this preseason. He is in training
i’m in the camp that thinks that an entire state telling their entire football community what to do/not do in another league is a dangerous precedent and the reason why states should not own football clubs. I’ve never commented on other issues.
He was on loan last year to champ and got injured - so don’t think he’d struggle to get a club. Prob get another loan this year to someone
Various reports, including Romano and Ornstein, that deal agreed with Frankfurt for Etikite and he only wants Liverpool.
Sounds like it’s likely to happen now - especially as talk of Newcastle shifting focus to Wissa of Brentford.
I imagine that if the leadership tells people what to do they do it. It's one of the few places left in the world where "heads will roll" isn't hyperbole.
Yeah, it sounds öike Ornstein and Romano are more saying that Newcastle have given up, but others are also saying that we've agreed a deal.
Isak is proven in the PL, Etikite is a prospect only in the same way that Nunez was. I completely get the club wanting the more proven option but that looks like it’s not going to happen. if we get an unusually high fee for Nunez from a Saudi club now, we can all read between the lines
A lot of sources including Romano saying we have agreed a six year deal with Ekitike and Newcastle have pulled out. If we do sign him and Guehi, I will be happy. Isak will make his own mind up, if he holds off signing a new contract with Newcastle, that will be telling
He was loaned when injured. He never recovered from cl game and was just pushed to Sunderland and never got fit. He has to prove some fitness to get a loan. He is back in preseason but I think we can't afford more Norwich style loans where the club they go to has a dickhead manager who just sees a player as a cover resource for his own few players. Stoke played koumas and used him (i was shocked tbh) Norwich and a few other clubs just didn't bother and benched kids. If you come looking ino lfc have to be sure you will use them provided the kids do the right things.
