We agreed personal terms with longstaff first. It’s pretty common. You can’t sign a player without both player and club being happy. You make contact with both to see if a deal can be done. It’s rare to have personal terms agreed if you have no idea if selling club is prepared to sell. These negotiations can go on and on for weeks. Personal terms are rarely the problem as I understand it, but nobody would go to the trouble without an understanding that the player is prepared to come and the selling club is willing to negotiate. doesn’t mean it’s a done deal… often a fee can’t be agreed, but it’s an indication serious negotiations are taking place. Rumours suggest two medical booked this week and that stach is the second one. Keyword in that sentence being rumours
Its a strange rule but I think you have to give 7 days notice to a club if you want to negotiate with one of their players. Anyway, it proves that Stach is willing to come here. As you say, the next step is the fee with Hoffenheim.
Stach came on and played the full 2nd half for Hoffenheim in a 11-0 this evening. So they aint protecting their asset as of yet.
I’m sure Mrs Milkster would agree, the lower you set your expectations, the less likely you are to be disappointed
Feyenoord winger Paixao has been spoken to this week by Leeds is the latest. Seems more trustworthy than other rumours doing the rounds. This lad looks a bit special. Always a bit sceptical on whether he can do it at PL level but he looks very very talented.
I'm not sure you do, at least not agree a contract You will of course check with the players agent that the player in question: 1. Is open to coming to your club 2.What their wage demands would be, whether they require a release clause etc But as for ironing out the minutiae of any contract, such details are at best premature.
He does look tasty - a definite step up from Solomon But you make a good point Still class is class - as Raphinha showed.
